Tutorial: Ice Cream Brooch

Este es un pequeño tutorial para ustedes! Este broche de helado es muy fácil de hacer y requiere habilidades de costura muy básicas. El broche terminado mide alrededor de 3 1/4 pulgadas de alto. 

Here's a little cute tutorial for you to try! This little ice cream brooch is very easy to make and requires very basic sewing skills. Finished brooch measures about 3 1/4 inches tall. 

Materiales:  /  Materials: 

Fieltro /  Felt

Hilo para coser / Sewing thread

Hilo para bordar / Embroidery thread

Broche  /  Brooch pin back. 

Antes de empezar deben descargar el archivo PDF (lo encontrarán al final de la página) con el molde e imprimirlo, trazar las partes en fieltro y cortarlas.  

Before start, you need to download the PDF file (at the bottom of the page), print and cut out the template, trace them onto felt and cut them out.

Paso 1: Usando puntada para apliqués coser el chocolate a la bola de helado. Appliqué Stitch chocolate onto ice cream ball. 

Paso 2: Dibujar en la bola de helado los ojos y la boca con un lapicero o con un marcador de tinta invisible, bordar los ojos con hilo negro usando unas pocas puntadas rectas en forma horizontal, bordar la boca usando punto atrás e hilo rosado, por ultimo bordar las chapitas utilizando puntadas rectas en forma horizontal e hilo rosado.  Draw the eyes and the mouth with a pen or a disappearing ink marker, embroider the eyes using black sewing thread and a few straight stitches (Sew them horizontally), to make the cheeks use horizontal straight stitches and pink sewing thread. 

Paso 3: Usando hilo para bordar de distintos colores, coser pequeñas puntadas rectas sobre el chocolate.  Using different embroidery thread colors, sew little straight stitches on the chocolate. 

Paso 4: Dibuja lineas inclinadas en el cono del helado (puedes usar el patrón para guiarte) y cose sobre ellas usando punto atrás e hilo café.  Draw inclined lines on the ice cream cone (you can use the template as a guide) and sew over them using back stitch and brown sewing thread. 

Paso 5: Colocar el cono en medio del ovalo morado como se muestra en la ilustración y coserlo utilizando puntada para apliques.  Place the ice cream cone in the middle of the purple oval as shown in the picture and sew it using applique stitch. 

Paso 6: Coser la bola de helado sobre el cono usando puntada para apliques e hilo de color a juego. Sew the ice cream ball over the cone using applique stitch and matching sewing thread. 

Paso 7: Centrar el broche de forma horizontal sobre el fondo rosado y coserlo asegurándolo fuertemente.  Center the pin brooch horizontally over the pink background and sew it on securely. 

Paso 8:  Usando puntada para apliques, coser el ovalo morado sobre el fondo rosado (utiliza hilo morado).  Using applique stitch, sew the purple oval over the pink background (use pink sewing thread).
